The recent development (unexpected) of the creation of the first Local ABC4All / SOMALIA-SOMALILAND is quite astonishing in many respects.
Perhaps one of the most important aspects of what has unfolded here is that youth CAN make a difference in local communities.
When we look at the picture of the youth proudly holding up the banner of "Community Empowerment Through Local ABC4All|" it appears very likely that this must have been an extraordinarily proud moment for all concerned for such a picture to be taken. After all, to be first in the world is the equivalent of making History!
No one else now can be FIRST! BUT - being first does not solve problems in the world!
There can and will be many local efforts to empower communities, and the fact that 22 children now have access to education via scholarship as a result of Local ABC4All / Somalia - Somaliland is just one example of what is possible.

These developments can be duplicated anywhere in the world by motivated young people. The world CAN and WILL become a better place because of our collective effort to work together and create communities that are better for all.
